NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Severe storms and a possible tornado barreled into parts of Middle Tennessee Saturday.

There are preliminary reports of damage in Orlinda in Robertson County where trees are down and there is damage to structures and power poles along Hwy 52. Emergency crews have closed the road. A tornado warning was in effect for that area earlier this evening.

Parts of Maury and Williamson Counties also reported storm damage. Police in Spring Hill reported that trees were down and a barn was heavily damaged in the area of Tom Lunn / John Lunn Rd. off Port Royal Rd. south of Saturn Pkwy. Any confirmation of tornadoes will be made by the National Weather Service in the near future.

The storms are moving east now, leading to a drier, cooler Sunday with highs in the 50s.

News 2 will bring you other reports and pictures of damage across Middle Tennessee as they come in.
