Tornado confirmed in Dauphin County

A tornado struck a 1.6 mile path in Piketown during the overnight hours Thursday, the National Weather Service announced.

The tornado was considered a EF1 tornado, hitting with 100mph speeds and a width of 100 yards, at 12:45 a.m. June 28, the NWS said.

There were no injuries or deaths, but the NWS did post photos of the damage on social media.
