NWS: Confirmed tornado damage in Rice County

RICE COUNTY, Minn. — The National Weather Service is reporting tree damage due to a tornado touching down near Dundas, Minnesota, in Rice County.

Severe weather swept through parts of southern Minnesota, with several counties being placed under a tornado warning.

NWS also confirmed another touchdown near Elko New Market in Scott County and another in the area of Henderson in Sibley County, but no damage has been reported as of yet.

Shawn Brandvold sent us a photo of a potential tornado touching down near Owatonna.

A video was also sent to us of a possible tornado between Faribault and Dundas.

The National Weather Service is expected to be in the area of the reported tornado on Thursday, and will share more information about the severity of the Wednesday night storm.
