SOMERSET Pa. – Somerset County EMA Director Richard Lohr said he will be meeting with representatives with the National Weather Service to determine if a tornado touched down in Somerset County.

Lohr said wind damage in parts of the county uprooted trees Sunday evening.

He said the area of the Village of Gray and Jennerstown off Route 985 saw pine trees being uprooted and some homes suffering damage to their shingles, but no homes were severely damaged. He said a small barn in Jenner Township lost its roof.

In the area between Hooversville and Stoystown in Shade Township off Route 403, Lohr said they also had tree damage and wind damage that caused the need for utility work.

Lohr said he is going to let the National Weather Service determine if a tornado touched down.
