LEFLORE COUNTY, Oklahoma – A tornado apparently touched down in Cameron Friday evening.

KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith reports the tornado wasn’t on the ground very long.

Authorities say the tornado damaged some trees, but apparently no homes in the area.

Vince Ray from Cameron sent News On 6 a video saying he was scared for his life.

“I just heard crackling of the trees and strong winds and hit the bathtub and it was a scary feeling,” said Vince Ray.

Cameron is located on Highway 112 south of Pocola.

KFSM says the National Weather Service office in Tulsa has not been able to survey the damage yet, so the EF rating has yet to be determined.
