DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY)- Meteorologists from the National Weather Service surveyed the damage in west Dothan.

They saw multiple downed trees, a roof that was blown off, a flipped car, and a severely damaged garage door.

The meteorologists were looking at the position of the downed trees and debris, as well as the magnitude of the damage to reach their conclusion.

Tom Johnstone, the Meteorologist in charge at the National Weather Service in Tallahassee says, “It looks almost certain this was a tornado. We’re still analyzing a few things and the final call will come out later today but the preliminary signs are that this looks like tornado damage to me.”
