(WBKO) — The National Weather Service of Louisville confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Metcalfe County on Friday.

The property of Troy Clemmons who lives on Subtle Road received the most significant damage.

His wife Susan described the phone call between her and Troy, since she was at work and he was at home.

She says the call took her by surprise and she was quite confused.

“What are you talking about, he said we’ve had a windstorm, a tornado, something come through here.”

Clemmons added that she did not remember even driving home, but when she arrived, her drive way was full of emergency vehicles and officials.

Susan says no matter what she tried reassuring her husband that regardless of the damage things were going to be okay.

“I was like, Troy it’s just stuff, all that matters is we have a place tonight, and they’re getting our electric back on, we’re gonna have a place to go to bed and you didn’t get hurt. That’s all that matters.”

Clemmons says she is grateful for the outpouring of community support.
