The National Weather Service and the Delaware Emergency Management Agency has confirmed that a tornado touched down Monday night in the Greenwood area of Sussex County.

There were no reported injuries but a storage building on Route 13 and some farm structures suffered some damages.

DEMA used a drone to collect visual evidence for confirming the tornado.

Other damage in West Sussex County was caused by high winds Monday night that exceeded 90 miles per hour.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said the NWS used a drone to confirm the tornado. It was actually a team from DEMA who used drone footage to confirm the tornado.
